PSI CAP 3D Regional Project
As a partner in this USAID-funded Asia Regional project, APMG is working with PSI to strengthen the capacity of CBOs to reach more and more people from within the key affected populations and assist them to access services.
We are focussed on MEANINGFUL KNOWLEDGE OF HIV STATUS – that is, working to ensure that people from key affected populations can not only access HIV testing, but can make sense of the results they get as a result of testing. For people diagnosed HIV negative, this means helping them to find effective ways to avoid HIV in the future – safer sex and needle use. For people diagnosed with HIV, this means helping them to form and maintain a relationship with treatment , care and support services and to work on strategies to avoid transmitting HIV to others.
Under this project, we are aslo providing technical and organisational development support to the Poz Home Center and working through the HIV Foundation Thailand to carry out peer education and support services to MSM in bangkok, particular those from lower sociro-ecomominc andeducation backgrounds.
