HIV Foundation
The HIV Foundation is a newly-established international foundation committed to the full participation of the people most affected by HIV in the response to HIV at local, national, regional and global levels.
Established by members of AIDS Projects Management Group (APMG) in response to a growing need for advocacy among and for the populations most affected by HIV, the Foundation will seek to place sex workers, drug users, men who have sex with men and people living with HIV at the centre of the response to HIV.
The HIV Foundation emerges from and works with the communities and populations most affected by HIV – particularly injecting and other drug users, gay men and other men who have sex with men, people living with HIV, transgendered people, sex workers. It seeks to foster the formation and development of organisations grounded in and comprising people from these populations, and to identify and strengthen leadership among these populations
